A customs bonded warehouse is a secure facility where imported goods may be stored under CBP supervision, and without paying duties or taxes, until they’re withdrawn for consumption or re export. Goods can remain under bond for up to five years. During that time, also CBP-permitted “manipulations” (e.g., sorting, labeling, repacking, and consolidation) are allowed.
